Vent Nouveau

Vent Nouveau LT-FS is the digitally printed version of Takeo’s classic Vent Nouveau series—and one of the most exciting answers to the question of how to combine a fine-textured paper with a genuine tactile feel and modern printing technology.

The series behind it: The Vent Nouveau series has been developed since 1994 under the direction of designer and architect Kijuro Yahagi. From the very beginning, it has pursued a clear goal: to combine print quality and texture at the highest level—two characteristics that often conflict with each other in paper. Vent Nouveau contains a particularly high air content, making it light and voluminous—ideal for books that need to look thick but weigh little.

Vent Nouveau LT-FS has been specially optimized for HP Indigo digital printing and is certified as an HP Indigo-certified paper—having passed tests in all criteria.

In practice, this means improved halftone dot reproducibility and print density, no primer required before printing, and an ink drying time that is about four times shorter than with the classic Vent Nouveau V-FS.

Offset and digital—no contradiction. A special bonus: Vent Nouveau LT-FS is also suitable for standard offset printing. This allows, for example, a first print run to be produced using offset and subsequent small or medium runs digitally, without having to change the paper. This makes it a true bridge paper between two printing worlds.
